The Endeavour Association Trailer was delivered to my home yesterday and is sitting outside our place until next Saturday when Rod, myself and some of the Dumereq boys will pull the Associations lasted E24 acquesition out of the water in Middle Harbour and then I will tow her down to BBYC and deliver to the venerable Dr. Cole for re-furbishment.

This morning I set off in my Landcruiser and with the Associations trailer in tow to Tuncks Park. There I was met by John, off the Dumeresqe and Rod motored in with our Clubs motor tender. We then motored out and picked up the Associations latest reserrected E24. We towed her back into the Tunks Park pontoon and there dropped the mast and waited for a gap in the procession of fishing craft which were comming and going. Finally after much patience Rod and I got the trailer sorted out and down the ramp into the harbour. Without too much delay we got the E24 onto the trailer and hauled her out.
The undersides of the 24 were a sight with muscles and beautiful red coral all over the hull along with assorted slime etc.
We ropped her and the mast down to the trailer and Rod motored back to North Harbour and I drove home to park out on the back road behind our house.
Tomorrow morning I will drive to the BBYC and drop the boat off and return with the trailer which has to be returned to the Central Coast next week.

Well our part of the opperation was copmpleted this morning. Alone the E24 was delivered to BBYC and recieved by Col & Grunter, with Son. In short time they manuvoured me into the yard and had the E24 off the trailer and back into the water.
I then hi-tailed it back home with trailer in tow and she is ready to be picked up or delivered to the Central Coast. So I Wit the advise of Graham Mac. as to your requirements on the Associations Trailer.
There were no dramas with the trailer she tows amd tracks well. Only problem is it's width on the road and the negotiation of corners and the overtaking idiots on the road.
BBYC boat yardd and slipway look the better for having been taken over by Col and Grunter, with heaps of work in progress as well as boats on the slipways.
Spoke with Rod on my return and we will definatly be looking at a major paint job in the near future for the Hagar.
Chris.

yes always a pleasure to cross swords with the copemister, now all we have to do is get the time to do something on the e24! not quite a wreck - but close - we have a few of them now - maybe we might be able to make two reasonable boats out of the three or four hulks we have in the bay!
As Chris indicated we E.M.S. is running close to maximum at this time with little sign it will slow - so the "project boats" may have to wait! Or we do a number on one (light weight, bouble bias cloth, extra strong, exotic sails etc) - test it for pace against Dumeriqe (because it should be way faster;) take it to Perth and show em the back door! :) again.

Sounds great Col, you just have to find someone silly enough to tow the thing across the continent. You may count me out as towing her across Sydney was quiet enough. Suggest that you look at shipping a few across in a box with all the tools and accomadation in the box.
You also need to find someone who can steer and crew as well as the Dumeresq boys, which will be the really hard part, dontweknow!
Rod is keen to get a price on a paint job for the mighty Hagar.

All good points lads, don't we know. Col, excellent news your venture is doing well, hope it stays that way.
Rob.

Drink wine, and you will sleep well. Sleep well, and you will not sin. Avoid sin, and you will be saved. Ergo, drink wine and you will be saved.

Hello Everyone,
I just purchased an E24 and have started getting it ready to put back on the water (is currently on hard stand). My question is, does the trailer still exists? And if so what is its availability in January?
Regards,
Sean
