The BBYC Endeavour Fleet will hopefully sail on the 6th/7th of Jan 2012 to Gosford for the upcoming Championships. Boat preperation has been in full swing with E27 Geeves Fred Garside and Warren Browne's E 26 Blys having full underwater strip back to Gelcoat and epoxy sealers and new antifouls applied at Endeavour Marine Sevices . Brownies Blys Has some new upwind sails by Herrick Sails here at BBYC . Peter Ashton's E26 Tic Tacs and Duncan Irvines E26 Stella have had considerable rigging upgrades by Paul Minter Rigging with Stella a new mainsail from Shorty .My Kokomo E26 having some deck hardware upgrades and rigging work done by Tony Dillon Yachting here at BBYC and a new No1 & No2 headsails built by Bruce Hollis at Ullman Sails. Both Colin Cole and I who operate Endeavour Marine Services at the BBYC club facility have tried to encourage more competitors we come with only five this time. We are looking forward to having the Silver Fox Warren Eggins back on the race track in the new year after his mobility rebuild and see the E27 Rhumbline back testing the fleet. There is still a great regatta to play out with the race waters ,support and race management at Gosford one the best I have experienced with plenty of tough compitition. We still have a good fleet racing here with large mixed fleets through the summer twilights and the bay fleets on the build with some additional sports boats . So good luck to all you Endeavourites where ever you are for 2012 and see you at Gosford. Happy Dayz Grunta |
