Gee guys, I think all woman are the same. My other half only yesterday was harping about completing the Pergola over the back balcony. I have had the timber for 4 years but been too busy with Splinter and having fun over winter to do it. And summer it's too hot out the back of the house facing west. So I just had to go sailing instead.
So yesterday afternoon I made the committement "I will have it finished before summer" so got to get into it over the next few weeks.
Chris & Col stand your ground, you only get the silent treatment and cold roast dinners for about a month !
cheers,

My Father (an electronics engineer) was of the opinion that women had the same wiring as us, just connected differently......and whilst musing, and at significant arm's length from you chaps (is this site secure from the fairer sex?), Kevin maybe you could build a flash wooden tender from the pergola wood over Winter.....??

According to our Statistics we have 506 members, 191 are male and 10 are female, the other 305...? So this site is not secure from females or other I guess.

Well Kevin,
It has been my experience that no matter what you do or achieve around the house, they, the SWMBO's of this world, will always find something else for you to do. If it is not the termite damaged wall or the rotten decking it will be the shelf in the cupboard or some other bloody thing. I always leave them something to winge about. I think it is a form of demented theropy they need. Rod is an expert on this very subject!! Dont' you know!!

Graeme It is a statistical fact that 80% of statistics are fictional.

Guys, I'm with you all both statically and morally. I would hate to thin k that she could invade our only bit of fantacy and enjoyment. They do not understand how we must time, we need to spend on our beloved Endeavours, and the cheque book, "never write a cheque" evidence - NO NO
only ever cash sales and get rid of the docket. DO NOT leave it in the pocket of your pants. You will be dead MEAT !!
So saying all this we are looking forward to another great season after I finish the pergola and doing what SOSBOB wants in the next few weeks !!
Yes, I am a hero in my own mind. (Not her's)
cheers,

I don't pay by cheque, I don't leave dockets in my pockets, I take my loving wife with me and let her pay and sort out the dockets. It works well for me.

Well the weeks are slipping by and its now just a few weeks away from us stating the next sailing season. We start both the North Harbour SC Sunday races in September and there is interest from a number of new chums as well as others. We have not finished the mailout flier yet, I still have to take some photos of the Club. We will also be racing in the Manly YC twilighter & their offshore races, which were a total of six last season.
Meanwhile, there has been not reply from the Berry Bay Marina on the neglected E30 down there. most likely we will have to chase up the Sydney Waterways if we can get back and find out the mooring number.
Ah well, SWMBO'd will not get her new fibreglass backyard fence.
Perhaps next time,
Chris.

In reviewing the Endeavour Big Boats for sale segment today there have been no changes seen in some months. There is a total of seven craft listed. One E32 out of Melbourne which Sasha kindly inspected & reported upon last year.
There is one E30 in Qld. which, like the E32 has been on the list for a long time.
There is a 30 foot something else which no doubt Mr. McKay is anxious to sell, but not an Endeavour.
There are two E28s, as well as an additional E28 listed as sold and,
There is one E27 from Lake Macquarie. A well known racer.
If you see or hear about any other Big Endeavours for sale, please contact me with the details.
Chris.

Well Chris,
I'm guessing one of those 28's is mine.

Haven't sailed her for 8 months, but i had her pulled out of the water in June and antifouled and cleaned.

Can't find the time for her at the moment and work is getting busier.

I must go and check her out.

David.

Hi David,
How about sailing Bon Doobie in the October regatta. If you are short of crew I might be able to help.

Adrian,

The thought has crossed my mind, but i don't have a valid cat 7 certificate.

As i have not renewed my racing fees for the up coming year.

David.

David,
You should try and maintain the Cat 7 certificate for the Bon Dobie if possible. It will help maintain the value of the boat in the event that you sell her.

Hi Chris,
A friend of mine sighted an E30 over in the Kimberley Region of WA.
Apparently owned by a couple who lived on the yacht for about 3 years. Now living in a remote area of the coast. Apparently the yacht is moored in a tidal area. When the tide goes out she sinks a few feet into the mud and sits upright. Anyone know any more?
Adrian

Sounds very interesting Adrian. They seem to pop up in the most unlikely places. Would be happy to hear any other news on the Kimberly Coast E30.
Her name, photos and type as well as the owners details would also go a long way to finding out her history.
We still have no further details on the E30 in Berry Bay. If we can get back down that end of the harbour when travelling to the October Regatta we might get the mooring number and chase up the owners.
Chris.
