The Boat Point Web-site has again changed with the Queensland E27 having been removed and possibly sold. There is now only the E27 Aldweld and the Mark 1 E30 Splinter known to be for sale at this time.

Over the weekend I emailed the Tassie yacht broker and requested further photos and asked for the best price on the Zero Balance.
I received a reply. They have had no other enquiries as yet and sound like they have little idea of the value of the Zero Balance E30 at this stage.
They sent me a few additional photos, one which was very revealing. She has an additional slide track inside & forward of the deck chain plates fittings. This confirms that they use a shorter footed head sail, or a blade which is what we have been looking at doing for offshore racing.
If anyone wants the shots you can email me.

At this time there is a unique situation in that there are two racing E30's as well a cruising E30 on the market for sale. All three of these craft are Mark 1's.
The yacht which is more of a cruiser is the Hollywood which came up on Ebay for sale and lays in Sydney Harbour.
The other two are the Splinter at Port Hacking and the Zero Balance which is in Hobart.
Both of these two yachts are well known racing campaigners and performers. Both are set up to race and offer fair to good sails as well as a large range of electronic instruments and safety gear.
The only other Big Endeavour is the well known E27, Aldwell which is laying in Lake Macquarie.
So the opportunity is now on offer for anyone contemplating a step-up into a larger Endeavour.

This afternoon while chasing up the shape and colour of the new E30 sail emblem from John Anderson he tells me that his Mark 1 E30, the Systems Outage is back in the water, the new Volvo 18 HP diesel is working a treat and the boat is looking good. The mast is out of the boat and at his home and he is hopping to have her racing for the Nationals up there in the New Year.

Yesterday while cruising the net and having a look at the Endeavour Yachts on offer for sale I noticed that while there are quite a few E24 & 26's, there is only one big boat on the Boat Point site. This is an E27 located in Brisbane. In addition to this John Anderson's E27 I believe is also still for sale.
This is the lowest number of Big Endeavour Yachts seen for sale.

I noticed mark 2 E30 Santana on hard at Noakes Yard at Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club this morning. The yacht was looking very nice. The rudder and propellor had been removed. I don't know the owner or where she is kept.

Activity on this site has been very quiet over the past few weeks. This seems to be consistent with most businesses as well. Today I was just browsing the net and saw that there are three E27's, one E30, eleven E24's, seven E26's and no E28's for sail on the Poat Point site.

Hi Eric,
No I know little about winches, on wenches. Don't we know, having a house full of them.
We have four on the Hagar, two large, one each side of the cockpit and two on the coach house roof for the halliards etc.
Would be interested in how much you are asking?
Andy and Rod are the experts on our boat when it comes to these contraptions.

Hi All,
A very nice E27 has come up for sale at Toronto.http://www.boatpoint.com.au/boats-for-sale/boatdetails.aspx?R=5830206
This is the first E27 I have seen without an inboard engine. It is the sort of yacht that would stir the pot in the E27+ Division.
Also for sale with the same broker is a very sound inexpensive E26, ready to be optimised to take on the E26 Division. (interest declared here, it is owned by my son.)

Hi there Adrian,
This boat looks really good. I was was unaware that they built the E27's with the outboard motor well. Thought that they would all be inboard diesels. It would make this boat a lot lighter without the iron sail. A question for you or all the other proud E27 sailors, do they have a lead or iron keel? and if lead, are they enclosed?
You are correct about it being quick. Imagine stripping her out internally and with new sails and a crew who knew how to drive it?
She would give all a the other Endeavour classes a good run for their money!

I'm still awaiting more feedback on this E30 for sale in North Queensland from the broker. Apart from the fact that she is over priced and the other E30 listed for sale, the previously named Bossie, appears to be in a far better presented condition. The Bossie has just been re-painted and has a near a new engine, while the Qld. boat looks OK, the diesel engine is in a very rusty condition and looks original.
Will hopefully come back with more info on her as well as her name.

If anyone is interested, I have now received the full inventory of the Townsville Mark 2 E30 which is listed for sale on Boat Point. In addition there is a full collection of high resolution photos.
The boat is named the Alexandra JII and looks like a very fine original craft.
If you want all the photos and Inventory you can email me on: smrs@optusnet.com.au
I'll reply with all of the data.

Here is a link to an Endeavour Yacht which is listed as an Endeavour Custom 32.
http://www.australiawide.com/ed.htm?de=43001
She appears to be in an immaculate condition with lovely timber work throughout. Interesting that she is listed as weighing 8t, which if it is correct would be twice the weight as our Hagar IV.
The more I have looked at her the more I think she is one of ours. Could be a 32, but looks like a mark 2 E30.
Any opinions? Nice price....
Chris.

Hi Chris,
I thought it might be an American Endeavour. It had a lot of timber inside.

They were my thoughts at first Adrian, however there are a number of things which mark an Australian Endeavour yacht. In big Endeavours these include the fitting on the bow tip, which if you look closely has a raised image of Cooks Endeavour the other things are the window configuration, the deck hatches as well as the shroud chain plate fittings. While most of these are not clear in the photos on this craft, the chain plates are most likely the confirmation that she is an original Aussie Endeavour.
We really need more photos to make it 100% sure though. She was most likely finished off outside of the Endeavour factory like the E32 Rod and I looked over two years ago.

Hi Chris,
The detail indicates that she was designed by Bob Johnson, Endeavour Yacht Corporation. Sounds American.
