Chris,
For what its worth it looks like a Mark II Endeavour 30. The configuration below is a replica of the Endeavour 30, "Kiatoa" with the nav table and galley forward. The icebox under the nav table is also the same. The Endeavour 32 as I remember was a centre cockpit with an aft cabin.
I agree - nice price.
Graham

Hi Chris, I believe you are right, if you go to this site that lists the US Endeavours, the shape is completely different. www.sailboatlistings.com/sailboats/Endeavour

Hi there Greg,
I irregularly have a peak at these "Endeavour yachts" from the USA. There is always one or two for sale on the Australian boat sale websites.
They really are ugly boats and because of the shallow draft they probably sail like pigs on the wind. Bit they are cheap!
Chris.

Hi All you doubters,
I had a look at the US site given by Greg. The yacht in question looks very similar to the Endeavour 32s that are for sale. The prices over there are certainly deflated. The two 1984 models are for sale for about 13000 to 15000 US dollars.
Oh by the way. Work starts soon to prepare E24 "Sarum" for january at LMYC. We hope to improve on last seasons 3rd .

Re the American Endeavour 32. I did a little research and came up with the following information about the yacht and its stated designer Bob Johnson given in the advertisement.

Adrian, these yank boats look nothing like the one in question, they are ugly and boxy and our Endeavours are beautiful and sleek.

The boat in the photo for sale is ssssleek.

I'm with you Greg, the yank boats are boxey and unlike our boats. I think Graham Macpherson is correct and that this boat in question is a Mark 2 E30 and quite possibly one of the best that I have seen.
I will attempt to contact the Broker and get some more information on her. However she is heavily over-priced.
Chris.

You fellows seem to doubt what the broker says. It was made by the Endeavour Yacht Corporation(US), and designed by one Bob Johnson referred to in Histor of Endeavour Yacht Corporation. I think it looks like the photo in Greg's link.

Sorry Adian,
The Yank Endeavour 32's have five rectangular ports each side, they draw 4 foot six inches and weighing in at around 8 tonnes.
In contrast the Aussie E30 has three ports on each side of the cabin, draws about six feet and weigh in at about 3.5 to 4.0 tones and maybe a bit more on the Mark 2 depending upon fit-out.
The broker is a bit confused.
Chris.

Have just been perving on the Big Endeavour listed as an American Endeavour 32 at $75,000.00.
She is now listed as being "under contract", so I suppose that means that either either Adrian or Graham have traded there USA super shares for her.
I sent off an enquiry so it will be interesting what come back.
Still think she is one of our Mark 2 E30's.

The $75K listed Endeavour, now "Custom 32 Endeavour" has apparently been sold. So someone has opened their purse and released an lot of moths, don't you know?
Who is the new and proud extravagant Endeavourer, time may tell.
And I never had a reply from the broker.

Information has just come via Rod Childs that the Mark 2 E30, the "Kaos", which is moored in Manly has come up for sale. She is in need of a lot of work and was originally set up to race with a tall double set of spreaders.
If anyone is interested, send me an email, as I have a lot of external photos. She is cheep but needs a lot of money spent and is becoming a floating coral reef. Rod and I will try and get a closer look at and inside her.

At this time we have no further information on the Kaos, which is rumoured to be for for sale and is lying in Manly.
She is a Mark 2 E30, with a white hull and blue horizontal stripes. She has a tall rig and has two sets of spreader arms, and is the only Endeavour yacht set up this way which I have seen. The set-up of the halliards and rig would indicate that she has raced and Rod says that he once raced aboard her many years ago.
We have no further information on the condition of the sails or the motor which could be a major refit factor.
We were told that they are asking $20,000.00, however with some patience and bargaining I feel that she might be procured at a lower rate. We will make further enquiries and attempt to have a look over her.

Sure can Graham,
Send me your email address and I'll sent all of the photos we currently have.
Have not been aboard or inside her and both Rod and I are keen to have a look over her.
Most important is to find out is if the motor works. I'll make some enquiries this weekend and try to find out the contact details.
She has a tiller and no steering wheel.
The rig may be taller than the Hagar IV and has two sets of spreaders.

My work address is: chris@sydprod.com.au
and home address is: smrs@optusnet.com.au

Reguards,
Chris.

I spoke with a friend of mine who told us about the "Kaos" being up for sale. In talks with him yesterday he stated that it may be a deceased estate sale, so I will watch the local rag and my friend has promised to chased up the contact person in regards to the sale of this E30 for us. Hopefully we may get to look her over in the next week or so.

Hi Chris and others,
The E27 at Toronto boat brokerage has been sold. The new owner is Doug Wilson at South Lakes Sailing Club. I have invited him to participate at Belmont in January

Hi there Adrian, that is good news as we need all the competition that we can get. Last year we only had three starters in the Big Boat division and we do not know if there are any more starters than ourselves and the Final Fling for the coming Nationals.
When are you going to get out of those floating coffins and sail in a safer E30 Adrian?
I heard a whisper that a certain elderly gentlman from Gosford has been sailing backwards. Is there any truth in this rumour?
He sounds like a perfect candidate to move up a class, dont-we-know?
Chris.

Last Sunday while beating up to the finish line we passed the E30 one named the Walrus. She is a well kept Mark 1 E30. We sailed up to her & we tried to engage the crew in conversation and direct them to the Endeavour Web Site, however they were busy going down wind and we were chasing the lead yacht in our race.
Would like to see them up at Belmont, as she is a nice yacht. Splinter & myself inspected her over a year ago when she came up for sale.
Chris.
